It is okay to remember the past; but how rational is it to turn our attitude bitter because of it? Here is a poem by Manas Madrecha, that expounds on having a simplified heart, devoid of all kinds of unwanted complexities. Also, the poet, time and again, emphasizes on forgiveness, anger management and loving everyone

Original Poem

Bhar Jaate Hain Zakhma

Zakhm bhar jaate hain ‘Manas’, unhe bas thoda waqt dijiye,

Bhale odh lo tan par ‘Manas’, pardaa shaan-o-shaukat ka,
Par malin aatma hain uski, chipaa aib jahaa nafarat ka…

Apno ko hi pade chodnaa, nahi dete chod vo roodhi kyu…

Ek prahar rakho adhiktam, aur dwesh ‘Manas’ vish ke sam,
Parichay dekar vishal hriday ka, tyaago apne aham ka bhram…

Alpa amla ka bheetar sanyog, bantaa fatkar doodh dahi…

Scars Heal

Scars heal; just give them some time. Don’t harden your heart by some past event that has occurred…

I can understand that a mistake happened by someone. But ignorant is the one who breeds aversion (hatred). Will you remain ill, by not forgiving, unless someone holds your feet?

It’s okay if you wear the curtain of pride and pomp on the body; but that soul is polluted where exists the vice of hatred…

Such stiffness is false, that kills a relation itself. By which you need to leave your beloved ones, why don’t you leave that convention itself?

Keep it for maximum three hours; further hatred is akin to poison. By portraying a great heart, abandon the illusion of own ego…

May you don’t get transformed from a loving to a hateful person! Even by little inner contact of sourness, the milk gets turned into curd…

I can understand that it is not easy, but do keep the heart clean from dust. Due to which karmic bondage occur, don’t keep that temperament, even by mistake…
